Recreation Programs Manager (Summer Position)
The Recreation Programs Manager oversees the planning, delivery, and administration of the Kingston Rowing Club’s summer youth (ages 10–14) and recreational rowing programs for youth and adults. These introductory programs focus on creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for participants of all experience levels, including individuals from diverse and underrepresented communities. This role plays a key part in expanding access to rowing through community outreach and inclusive programming, including adaptive rowing opportunities supported by specialized equipment. The Manager ensures high-quality instruction aligned with Rowing Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development framework while fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Sports Instructor (Summer Position)
The Sports Instructor delivers safe, engaging, and inclusive rowing instruction for youth and adult participants at the Kingston Rowing Club. Working within Rowing Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework, the Instructor focuses on teaching fundamental skills, building confidence, and promoting overall fitness in a positive learning environment. Instructors support both beginner and returning participants, fostering skill development, water awareness, and teamwork. The role also contributes to creating accessible programming for individuals of all abilities, including those participating in adaptive rowing. This position plays an important role in encouraging an active, healthy lifestyle while ensuring a fun and supportive experience on the water.
