Competitive Rowing

  • Our competitive programs are open to rowers who are looking to train up to six mornings/week and compete in spring, summer, and fall regattas. Rowers will be arranged in crew boats or singles, designated and decided by coaches based on age, skill level, and speed.

Our KRC alumni have seen stellar results at the OUA Championships as well as the Canadian University Rowing Championships, with countless podium finishes. Many have gone on to compete at a national and international level, including FISU World Championships, U23 World Championships, Senior World Championships, and the Olympics.

    • For ages 14-18 with previous rowing experience, which includes our MadSculls Summer Camp or Junior Learn to Row programs

    • Training is completed up to 6 mornings/week through the spring, summer, and fall seasons

    • Membership does not include regatta travel and entry costs.

    • The variation in price per season is determined by the seasons length with the spring and fall seasons being shorter than the summer

    • Financial assistance is possible through the KidSport grant (youths ages 4-18).

      • Program lengths must be a minimum of 8 weeks; camps are not eligible.

Funds from Play! Gaming & Entertainment have helped us purchase rowing shells that have helped keep youth in Kingston active and on the water this summer.
